How many operators will cover my website if multiple live chat requests are made?
Depending on which ActiveHelp Pro license you purchase, you can have as few as one operator with one channel to an unlimited number of operators and channels. Your business size, needs, anticipated volume, and budget will determine which license you purchase.

Can I upgrade my ActiveHelp Pro license at a later time?
Yes. The flexibility of ActiveHelp Pro allows customers to upgrade the live chat software at any time, to accommodate increasing sales or online visitor demands.

Where is ActiveHelp Pro installed?
ActiveHelp Pro has two components: The operator console and the live chat software, as follows:
  1. Operator Console – Installed on your local hard drive, the operator console is the interface between you (the operator) and your website visitors.

  2. Live Chat Software – Installed where you host your website, live chat software is the “brains” behind the instant messaging functionality.

If you host with ActiveHelp Pro, the live chat software will reside on one of our secure Web servers and the configuration will be done for you.  If you host elsewhere, you will need to upload the live chat software to your hosting server before you can begin using the program.  Read more about hosting requirements.


What is the difference between server installation and hosted installation?
The main difference between server installation and hosted installation lies in the location of the live chat software.
  • Server Installation – For users who do not host with ActiveHelp Pro, the live chat software needs to be installed on the hosting company’s server.  Read about hosting requirements for details. 
  • Hosted Installation – For users who do host with ActiveHelp Pro, the live chat software is configured and set up for you on one of our secure Web servers.
Although both options are fully supported by ActiveHelp Pro, hosted installation is the recommended choice.  Simpler, faster to implement, and easier to maintain, you need only concern yourself with installing the operator console on one or more PC(s).  Learn more about Server vs. Hosted installation.

Do you offer technical support for ActiveHelp Pro?

How do I download ActiveHelp Pro?
ActiveHelp Pro can be downloaded online at any time.  Simply save the compressed file on your computer, uncompress, and then run to install.  A separate document with installation instructions is included for your convenience; we recommend printing this file first and using as a guide, when needed.

Do you offer a trial version?
Yes!  When downloading ActiveHelp Pro, you will have the option to use the program as a trial version first and then purchase after the evaluation period by ordering a full copy.     

How much memory is required?
The operator console is the only portion of ActiveHelp Pro that needs to be installed on your local hard drive.  We recommend at least 512mb of RAM using an operating system of Windows XP or higher.
